Today, April 9, 2014, Maestro Father Alberto Cerroni passed away at the age of 85, lived in faith and in Music. A skilled organist, graduated from the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome under Maestro Ferruccio Vignanelli, he was a teacher of organ, Gregorian chant, and complementary organ in several institutions such as the Frescobaldi Institute in Perugia, the Morlacchi Conservatory in Perugia, and the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music itself in Rome, to name the most important ones, alternating teaching with an intense concert activity. There are countless students who had the fortune of studying under his direction, and some of them have excelled on an international level.
