Hello everyone, for some time now I have wanted to ask you Graduates this question:
Which method do you use, or in your opinion, what is the best method for
retaining a piano repertoire in memory while optimizing study time.
We know that once a musical piece is learned, it must be performed every now and then
to avoid forgetting it. An easy piece can be found intact in memory even
a month after the last performance, whereas for a difficult piece,
it only takes a few days to have problems performing it correctly.
Let's hypothesize having a 3-hour repertoire composed of 60 pieces with a duration
of 3 minutes each; 30 are easy, 20 are medium difficulty, and 10 are difficult.
How do you organize yourselves? Do you repeat the pieces in rotation? Do you double up on the difficult ones?
Do you play them with a metronome? Without pedal? Slowly? In groups?
In short... your method for "refreshing" the repertoire so that
it is always ready when needed to be performed fluently. Thank you
