i have just finished writing something in score (Finale 2014). now i am working on the individual parts. some parts have many rests between one played part and others (e.g. glockenspiel, percussion). furthermore, the percussion has a predominantly 'ostinato' played part.
i would like to know:
1) how do you insert the indication, within a single measure (a black bar with the exact number of measures of silence to be counted written above it)?
2) where is the symbol '/.' (repeat the content of the previous measure) located?

For now I am answering point 1): select the rows of measures that have the pause and then right-click the mouse: "create measures of appearance" ... and that's it.
