Hello everyone. I have often found myself talking, even on this forum, about books for studying jazz piano. Mark Levine's Jazz Piano Book is one of the most important and well-known books; I have studied it several times and I remember that during my first approach I struggled a lot. Now, with a bit of experience as a teacher, I have realized its major limitations: the topics are not in increasing order of difficulty but rather somewhat haphazardly, and some passages indispensable for a beginner are skipped entirely.
I have tried to perform an accurate analysis of these dear chapters and to divide them into three groups, based on difficulty. I believe that this "map" could be useful for those who want to try studying this beautiful book by Mark Levine.
