Good morning, for some time now I have been hearing this metallic noise when I go to play an F in particular. Often it has happened that I hear it on the first touch as soon as I open the piano, only to have it disappear from the second touch. Whereas today, while playing with a mute, I happened to hear it again by pressing the key in question very delicately. I am attaching audio from the phone placed in the gap, specifically under the keyboard. It is a Yamaha upright.

Thank you for your attention,

Giacomo.

Almost nothing can be heard from the audio. Anyway, it is difficult to determine the causes of vibrations from a distance. There can be many causes. It needs to be examined closely. What does your technician say? Sometimes they can be small vibrations that disappear even by moving the position of the instrument, or they appear and disappear with variations in relative humidity. The fact is also that we get used to expecting it and it becomes increasingly annoying. Everything needs to be looked into. Which area of Rome are you in? If I happen to be near your area, I might even stop by to see... actually.. to listen.

Ciao Paolo
