Petty, I try to be "tranchant" precisely because I think you have the wrong attitude. Not a human attitude, but an attitude towards analysis, towards method.

And here there are no excuses. There is someone who knows more than you (and it's not necessarily me, I mean in general), they correct you, and you change your way. If you want to cut an onion, you can't hold the knife by the blade, you have to take it by the handle. Few excuses, I don't want to know THE REASONS FOR THE ERROR; there are errors that have reasons and errors that should just be forgotten. You must FORGET AS SOON AS POSSIBLE this way of performing analysis. I don't know if you have a teacher with whom you also do analysis, but this way of doing analysis is WRONG.

Forget about passing tones. And when I say "forget about passing tones" I mean "FORGET ABOUT PASSING TONES"! I discovered the existence of passing tones by reading your analyses, and I swear to you that life is perfectly fine without them too! So, I SWEAR to you that if I see a single passing tone in your next analysis, I'll come over there and beat you up!

Next point: AS FEW ERRORS AS POSSIBLE. A wrong chord is death; rather, WRITE NOTHING. Or better... if you don't know what chord it is, look at the one before, look at the one after, and be creative—being creative does not include finding passing tones. NO PASSING TONES!! But, from today on, no more errors. Write only what you know, not what you don't know, understood?

Does anyone really want to suggest another piece to analyze?

I tried the beginning of the adagio cantabile from Beethoven's sonata op 13 (you'll get mad at me because we're going too far), it was a rehearsal last night.

I can take some "simple" pieces from Schumann's youth album, for which I have already realized that I am not [ready] (I am talking about myself).

The teacher cannot follow me unfortunately (it doesn't depend on him), we haven't tackled the subject, and he rightly goes step by step; I wanted to try because otherwise I would remain in limbo

for years.

I'm not saying it's too advanced, but perhaps the writing is a bit complex. It's fine if you follow the above instructions literally, namely DO NOT think in eighth notes. Not always, at least... if it's really necessary, and sometimes here it is necessary, do it... but FORGET ABOUT THE BAR LINES... but it will be difficult, looking at the score...
