Tomorrow I will have to let a fairly large audience listen to a preview of one of my tracks, and I know for certain that my track will be broadcast through a single speaker connected to a PC. Is it better if I mix the track in mono or should I stick with the stereophonic spread to avoid any potential phase issues?

If you have made a good stereo mix, it must also sound good when played back in mono. Put a phase correlator on the master channel in insert after all the plugins you have (it must be the last one) and make sure that the indicator does not drop too low into negative values. If it oscillates between 0 and positive values, you are all set.

Ok, sometimes when working with libraries it happens to go down into values between 0 and -1. Is Ozone's Stereo Imager also okay? In the event that it goes below 0, is it better to tighten the stereophony a bit?

If it goes into negative values every now and then, no big deal, it's not a major problem, but if it stays more in the negatives than in the positives, the thing needs to be corrected.
The signal phase shift can depend on excessive reverb or excessive use of widener plugins to increase stereophony. Fix these two little things and you'll be fine
