For many years I used Sibelius, then for a series of personal reasons I didn't write anymore for several years. Today I am making the choice to switch to Apple, and I am wondering which software I should purchase for music notation, so I wonder if Sibelius remains the best or if I have missed something better? ?

If I had to make a financial investment I would use Finale; an educational effort might perhaps be worth it for Dorico. With Sibelius you can do many things - even quickly; if the musical notation is traditional, it works perfectly. If, on the other hand, the notation were very sophisticated, apart from using products like Illustrator, I think Finale is more effective.
