Hi everyone, soon (maybe) I will finally have the time to rest after so much studying and I was thinking of taking a little vacation.. After Paris and Prague, I've set my sights on Budapest and wanted to ask for your opinion.. has anyone among you ever been there? Is it really as beautiful as in photos? And... are there any curiosities regarding Music (and the great Liszt)?

Thank you

Budapest is very beautiful. Musically speaking, you can visit the Bartók museum house which is on a hill in the city; remember that in many places you have to pay with the local currency, they don't always have an ATM (for example, the Bartók house ;-) ). You can reach it either by public transport or by taxi which, compared to here, is not so expensive. However, you must rely on a map because it is not very well indicated but, in my opinion, it is worth visiting, even to see the hilly area of the city which is very beautiful and quiet. As far as Liszt is concerned, there is an entire museum but I haven't visited it.

I have no memories of concerts or anything else, but I believe it can quite easily be said that compared to Paris, the musical life of Budapest is modest...
