Musicasiena 2016 - La Primavera Senese
The SetteNoteInsieme association and the FAI Delegation of Siena, in collaboration with Il Chiostro del Carmine (part of the Anghel Hotels group), ASP Città di Siena, and the San Francesco Saverio Association, are organizing the fourteenth edition of "MusicaSiena - La Primavera Senese".
There are four concerts, all on Saturdays in May and June, and, thanks to the collaboration with the Fondo Ambientale Italiano, they will be held in very exclusive venues that are otherwise not visitable. The concerts are by invitation only and limited to 60 people. A very exclusive event that is not "exclusively Sienese". Designed for those who love Music and desire an intense experience immersed in art.
The first concert will be held at the Chiostro del Carmine (via della Diana, 4) on Saturday, May 14. Edoardo Catemario will perform with the magic of solo guitar, playing a very refined program centered on music by Bach and contemporary Bach-inspired composers: Villa Lobos, Satie, and Kazuiko Hattori.
This will be followed, on Saturday, May 21, by the Brahms Trio concert at the church of San Giacinto (Via dei Pispini 162a). Natalia Rubinstein (piano), Nikolai Sachenko (violin), and Kirill Rodin (cello), exponents of the most refined Russian school, will propose the famous Schubert trio op. 100 and, subsequently, Shostakovich and Beethoven.
The third concert, on Saturday, May 28, will feature the French duo Des Equilibres: Agnes Pyka (violin) and Blandine Leydier (viola). They will perform at the Chiesa della Compagnia di San Sebastiano (via Garibaldi) a program of pure French elegance including pieces by Graciane Finzi, Mozart, Martinu, and Händel.
The closing concert, on Saturday, June 4, will be performed by Martin Haselböck on the organ of the Santuario di Santa Caterina (Via Costa Sant'Antonio, 6) and, in the second part, together with Edoardo Catemario, featuring Antonio Vivaldi concerts transcribed for guitar and organ. The only Italian date for one of the greatest organists of all time, organist of the Imperial Chapel in Vienna. A truly unusual and exciting concert that includes pieces by Muffat, Kerll, Soler, and Mozart, in addition to Vivaldi.
The concerts will begin at 7:00 PM, except for the closing concert which will begin at 7:15 PM.
Concerts are limited to a maximum of 60 seats.
The initiative is organized within the framework of the FAI project "Puntiamo i Riflettori" (Shining the Spotlight), aimed at raising the funds necessary for the restoration of the Deposed Christ by Francesco di Giorgio.
Il Chiostro del Carmine has developed exclusive packages that include admission to the MusicaSiena concerts, visits to the city's museums, and an overnight stay with a welcome aperitif.
It is also possible to participate in post-concert dinners with the artists, in a food and wine experience created for the occasion.
We thank Tipografia Senese.
