i am pleased to announce the brand new "Musica Siena" program:
The SetteNoteInsieme association and the Rinaldo Franci Musical Institute are organizing the thirteenth edition of "MusicaSiena - La Primavera Senese" under the artistic direction of Edoardo Catemario, a world-renowned musician and DECCA artist.
There are five concerts, held every Saturday in May, featuring prestigious names from the international music scene.
The first concert will take place at the Sanctuary of Santa Caterina (Via Costa Sant'Antonio, 6) and will feature Cesare Mancini on the organ with a solo recital performing pieces by Pachelbel, Bohm, Buxtehude, Franck, and Bach on May 2, 2015.
This will be followed, on Saturday, May 9, by the concert of Daria Fedotova (classical guitar), who will present an entertaining program with music by Bach, Barrios, Duarte, Dowland, Frescobaldi, Gangi, Zammartino, and Albeniz at the Rinaldo Franci Institute.
The third concert, on Saturday, May 16, will feature the trio Canone Per Verso, composed of Daniele Sepe on sax, Edoardo Catemario on guitar, and Luca Signorini on cello, with a very engaging program that embraces both classical and jazz with music by Nino Rota, Daniele Sepe, and Domenico Scarlatti.
On Saturday, May 23, we will see the French four-hands piano duo composed of Mark Solé Leris and Frédéric Chauvel, who will perform compositions by Czerny, Grieg, Mozart, and Schubert in a very engaging concert.
The last concert, on Saturday, May 30, will be performed by Gordana Josifova Nedelkovska on oboe and Paul Montag on piano. The programmed music is by Bach, Poulenc, Veroust, Schumann, Laliet, Morricone, and Kostov.
The concerts will be held at the "Rinaldo Franci" Musical Institute in Piazza Sant'Agostino, 2 (Siena) at 7 PM, except for the opening concert which will be held at the Sanctuary of Santa Caterina in Via Costa di Sant'Antonio, 6 (Siena).
Admission is reserved for members of the SetteNoteInsieme association. It will be possible to register directly at the concert. The minimum registration fee is €15, which allows attendance at a single concert. Discounted packages for two and five concerts are available.
The May 2nd concert is free entry.
