This time I am self-promoting...

On January 27, 2018, at 5:15 PM, I will be performing in concert at the CASC Banca d'Italia auditorium located at Via del Mandrione, 190 (RM).

The program will be as follows...

FIRST PART

Mozart - Fantasia in D min

Mozart - Fantasia in C min

Mozart - Sonata K. 330 in C maj

Schubert - 2 improvisations from op. 90 - no. 3 and 4

SECOND PART

Chopin - 2 Preludes from op. 28

Chopin - Nocturne op. post

Chopin - Nocturne op. 27 no. 2

Chopin - Ballade no. 1 in G min

The duration of the program is approximately one and a half hours, excluding a 10-minute intermission between the two parts.

Admission is free and guarded parking is free.

It would be a pleasure to see those who attend.

Greetings to all

Great!! Beautiful program; the two fantasies...Chopin...truly beautiful and demanding. The romanticism of classicism!! And maybe you will manage to bring out the Bachian "Structure" of Chopin; classicism within romanticism.

I feel obligated to be there even if I don't think I can make it.

I will let you know in case.

Good luck!!

You are too far away for me, I am in Cagliari.. So good luck!

Do you already know which piano you will find?

I'll tell you: a Steinway A, which however sounds a little thin, in my opinion. A replacement of the hammer felt without impregnation and subsequent voicing in the style of the Hamburg House was performed. Unfortunately, that's how it is. Anyway, it is an excellent instrument and Simone will know how to make it "sing". Good luck

Knock on wood! I think I have prepared well for this concert, but I am very tired due to work matters and that piano, from what I remember, is a little dull, so I will have to focus more on the weight to try to make it sing as it should. Let's hope there are no unforeseen events. Mechanically it is very smooth, which helps a bit in the more demanding technical passages, especially on the Chopin ballad.

I will let you know

I only had the chance to record part of the audio because I had used an SD card with little free space.

At the concert, I was very strained because in the preceding days, and even now, I am having gastric and blood pressure problems, probably due to the gastric issues.

The day before the concert, my pressure was 160/110 and I felt very weak. On the day of the concert, a little better, but I was completely dazed.

I had to sacrifice the final piece (Ballade in G minor) because I was simply exhausted.

I shouldn't say how the concert went; if they want to say a few words, Pianoexpert and GPR, who were present at the concert, can do so.

I think I played well during the first half, but as time went on, my energy abandoned me; in the second half, I was less brilliant, with a bit of mental disorientation.

The concert was pleasant, but Simone was very strained. A great artistic effort. In fact, the first movement was better than the second, but everything went well. Sometimes you have to play not in perfect condition, but you have to grit your teeth. Simone reacted well and kept everything well under control. It's a pity the Ballade was withdrawn. Until next time... he will play all four of them!!!!

You went to get checked out, right?? Maybe by a cardiologist? I shouldn't have to tell you that, right?

Because look, as much as there might be gastric problems, the minimum doesn't rise like that!! And asthenia with blood pressure like that must be monitored!"

Not yet, on Monday I'll have a whole series of tests prescribed by the doctor and then we'll see what the cause is; it could probably also just be simple stress. I have gone through a very stressful period.

Hi Simone. I am sorry for the problems you had, but I believe that you played at great levels anyway.

I am waiting, if possible, for an excerpt of a recording.

Do not neglect your health!!

Fabio, the recordings are up.... I am enjoying them calmly and I must say that despite not being at his best, he played like a god!!!
