The FLAUTO DOLCE Lausanne Association announces the composition competition:
"New Music for Recorder 2016"
The competition is divided into 2 categories:
A: female and male composers born between 01-01-1981 and 31-12-1997;
B: female and male composers born between 01-01-1998 and 31-12-2003;
Instrumentation available:
1) solo recorder (including Paetzold flute), optionally amplified,
the use of any type of electronics is not permitted. (category A composers)
2) duo: for recorder + one other instrument (categories A and B composers)
3) Recorder ensemble (categories A and B composers)
With the exception of the solo piece, the other pieces (for duo and for ensemble) are intended for performers between the ages of 8 and 18:
each composer, without renouncing their own expressive needs, must adopt an instrumental writing suitable to the average abilities of performers within that age group; the main purpose of the pieces for duo and for ensemble will be to encourage the knowledge and practice
of New Music languages for non-professional students.
