I have just purchased a Clement C159 piano, very little used by the previous owner who had himself purchased it from a shop two years prior.

I have placed the piano in a room measuring 4.3 by 3 meters, with a height of 3 meters, currently empty and without acoustic treatment, which I will introduce later.

The piano tunes well, but the sound in the room is very ringing, almost electric on the central part of the keyboard.

Can something be done by intervening on the mechanics to obtain a more muffled sound?

Has anyone here had any experience with this brand of pianos and has any comments/suggestions to give me?

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

The piano in question, after being well tuned, must be voiced. This must be done by an expert technician. You can watch my video tutorials and also read some of my articles always on this Site.
