Of course; Francesco ...but...be careful. If the surface of the repetition lever is well-graphited and polished, avoid graphiting the rollers. Later, if they make noise or too much resistance, they can be lightly rubbed with a graphite stick. Do not use liquid graphite directly on the skin of the rollers. At most, as the great tuner Daniel Magne used to advise, when new, you can lightly pass... in the direction of the skin, a bit of 1000 or 1200 grit sandpaper... but very lightly.

I have even seen people wetting the rollers and applying graphite to the damp skin. I do not agree. If the rollers were meant to be graphited, they would already be installed by the manufacturers with a layer of graphite. The slight rolling friction of the skin against the graphited repetition lever has a reason for being. All frictions (sliding, rolling, etc.) between parts must exist, even if in the right measure. It is the excess of these that compromises the optimal functioning of the action in terms of responsiveness.

Hello, for my Bechstein with new repetitions, to resolve some squeaking coming from the contact of the new repetitions with the repetition lever, I applied some micro-teflon powder. Can it be considered a valid alternative to a graphite stick?
