good evening everyone. i am 38 years old and i would like to start learning piano seriously. i played piano a bit to complete the second year of the pre-academic courses at the conservatory of Lucca. After the birth of my first daughter I suspended and I would like to resume after the birth of my second daughter. I am a factory worker (flexibility and agility of the fingers are ko).. a professor will follow me and i will start... what do you recommend.. thanks everyone
Welcome. We advise you and wish you good studying! Follow your professor as if you were learning as a child. The only difficulty an adult encounters is the obstacle of their "mental superstructure". They judge, they correct themselves, they worry, they make decisions... etc. Surrender yourself to everything that your teacher indicates and suggests to you... you will shorten the time!! relying on others is the best way. Everywhere one reads to study, study and study.. pianist practice is difficult. but often the taste and pleasure of playing are lost in technique and rigor. Surely a good professor will make the difference.... especially at my age.

welcome,..........technique and "rigor" must be tools to allow oneself to enjoy one's own music and not ultimate ends!!! let yourself be guided by the love for music...and you will see that you will have great satisfaction!!
Yeah.... today I participated as a tuba player in a party for student musicians in a band... seeing how many kids are starting their own musical journey is beautiful. I am old and I doubt that I will manage to do "Exams" with a capital E...
But the pleasure of "understanding" musical techniques and the joy of playing for my family and others, will be a great satisfaction...
I am sure that thanks to you my "task" will be a little lighter...
