as indicated in my introduction, I do not play the piano, but I really like listening to it being played.
We recently purchased a Yamaha U1 refurbished by Yamaha for our home and during use, at least in my opinion, a strange noise can be perceived that bothers me.
The noise seems to come from the hammers bouncing.
To help you understand exactly what I am talking about, I have made a couple of videos; obviously, I am not playing, but I have only pressed the keys to highlight the noise.

let's say that the "key thud" is too evident. The hammer rest felt could be excessively hard, and the heel felts of the dampers might be glued too much (even in the center). They need to be examined and potentially replaced. The damper heel carries a felt that contacts the brass pilot and cushions the blow; for this reason, it must only be glued to the sides of the heel, leaving a glue-free zone in the center which would otherwise harden the felt itself. The green hammer rest felt also seems a bit stiff to me.
