I would like to discuss a "delicate" topic here, for the purpose of defining some boundary within which Pianism with a capital P exists.
A "delicate" topic because it might offend the aesthetic-musical taste of the admirers (perhaps numerous) of a well-known pianist.
The example I intend to link is because it lends itself to what I would like to express, propose, certainly not assert; for this reason, the subject of the thread is in interrogative form.
Considering the author, and therefore the performance style, how do you find this interpretation?
It is difficult to express an interpretation in words but, to venture my opinion, I find it harsh, angular, at times "violent", unmusical (considering the page being interpreted).
Then, but only then, because it is of secondary importance compared to the sound, do we want to observe how the pianist's body positions and moves itself?
