Besides Morricone, we have other excellent composers; although I do not have any formal qualifications, I listen to a lot of music, and I wanted to let you hear some compositions by Maestro Dario Marianelli that I consider very valid.
The first is from the film Anna Karenina (the film is very beautiful) Track no. 1 "Overture"
The second is from the film "Pride and Prejudice," a 2005 film; the title of the piece is "Dawn"
"Down" I like more. In its simplicity, it is very beautiful.
The overture is a tad heavy... even though I like pieces where the sound texture gradually thickens towards the climax while maintaining a constant underlying rhythm, I found this one slightly forced. I don't know, personal taste....
