I have been listening since this morning and I am amazed.
I want to listen again and carefully... maybe then we can discuss it..
These are incredible pieces... and new to me... in fact, I was stunned by how certain harmonic, rhythmic and... especially tension blends immediately took hold of me, moving me... in short.. I wasn't expecting it..
This music generally requires reflection... instead.. it felt very natural to me.
A few notes sung... the piano on the bass... incredible.. truly touching.
Thank you Frank.
P.S. There is a part of unique lyricism... and then a passage where the clarinet and strings together with the piano give a profound sense of organ sound... a chord..

Fabio, do you know that it was composed between 1940/1941 in the Görlitz concentration camp and dedicated to the Apocalypse?
There is a world behind this work and throughout Messiaen's entire body of work

Yes, yes ..I was also reading about when it was played for the first time.
I would say a masterpiece anyway, incredible.
Thank you.
