i have 6.4 and 6.7, but I can't get these menus to appear, neither in the main workspace window, nor in the patches, nor in the maquettes

I am testing with 6.5.1. Aside from the fact that it is a free product and you just need to go to the IRCAM website to download the latest version

The link you indicated contains a patch, in fact, the object CHORD_SEQ is shown.

So, by opening a patch (new or existing) from the "classes-->midi" menu, choose midi File, place the object in the patch and then by selecting it press "v" (for eVal) on the keyboard....an operating system window will open that allows you to select the midi file.

I don't know, I'm a beginner, but I find that the first obstacle of this instrument is precisely that... maybe I'm missing something....

... and at the end of the day it is not a notation program but a procedural one, so apart from the input data... the rest should be all or almost entirely the result of the algorithm.

Do you mean only pitches in a Chord-seq or also things that are rhythmically very advanced?

well, I would like to be able to write a complete musical phrase without too much struggle... and above all with any number of voices....

In short, the purpose of OM is clear to me, but if even to start from an input I have to perform acrobatics .... that's why I was asking if it could be imported in some way, but it seems they have removed the menu (perhaps due to licensing issues with the libraries involved?). I don't know... I repeat, maybe I am missing something....

I only have the standard iRCAM tutorial, the one seen on the website.

I see that it has a lot of potential. So far I have always done things manually and then transferred them to Finale, but I haven't yet had the time or interest to dedicate myself to developing a complete package, and since I found OM I wanted to see if I could avoid the effort.

The point is precisely that by manipulating a MIDI, bringing it into Finale is an instant process. With OM it seems laborious to me...

provided that writing a phrase doesn't take me half a day

As soon as I have a moment, I will send you something regarding rhythm management.

As far as OM v/Finale is concerned ...keep in mind that you can export an OM patch in MIDI format ...to then import it into Finale...
