Good morning, my name is Stefano; I have never studied piano, but knowing how to read sheet music (strictly in treble clef), I have always enjoyed playing the piano.
Until now, I have never been able to afford a piano, but now luck has turned in my favor; shortly I will receive as a gift a Kohler & Campbell piano with the following measurements: H. 130 D. 70 W. 155. With ivory keys.
Now, not being a great expert, I would truly appreciate receiving your opinion on the qualities of this piano.
The condition, at least from the outside, is very good; I haven't had the chance to see the inside, however, it belonged to the music teacher and composer "Giovanni Capozzi"; even after the Maestro's death, the family has always kept it in perfect condition.
Beyond the purely aesthetic state of the piano, the internal part is more important; in the end, if a little paint is missing, it can be resolved with very little, whereas fixing the mechanics can be expensive. I can only advise you to go and see the piano with a technician from your area (perhaps get advice from some teacher/pianist) also because I don't know if you have technical knowledge, but in any case, an experienced person will be able to advise you more than anyone else
Thanks for the lowseling of the answer, but as I wrote above, the family has always kept it tuned and in perfect condition, mine was more of a request regarding the general qualities of that brand of piano.
