Paolo Ceccarini 1. Of the Order of the Heavens

Paolo Ceccarini pianist and composer. First of five pieces from "Quadri per pianoforte" (Pictures for Piano). Compositions inspired by the first book of the poem "L'Acerba" by Cecco d'Ascoli.

Live recording from the concert "Dedicated to Cecco" on the twentieth anniversary of the "Ascoli Piceno" Prize - Higher Institute of Medieval Studies Cecco d'Ascoli. Teatro Ventidio Basso, Ascoli Piceno - November 8, 2008.

The work draws inspiration from themes connected to astronomy and the influence of the stars on Destiny and History, with arguments dense with symbolism, rendered through luminosity and a musical style traceable to the twentieth century.
