Pearl River & Steinway & Sons: Essex piano line

As far as I know, Essex (but also Boston) do not maintain their quality level over time. Since the main buyers of these instruments cannot spend much, despite being designed by Steinway, poor materials are used for assembly to save money... and this affects not only the durability of the pf but also the sound quality: Practically speaking, for the same amount of money, one can find (used) pianos that are much better. At least that is the idea I have formed.
