Today I had to clean the exterior of the piano because it was shiny and I moved it; once put back in place, the right pedal started squeaking. Before this episode, it never did. It is practically unplayable because it is very loud. If I press slowly, the squeak is not heard or is barely heard...

One must first identify the noisy area by progressively excluding the others. Starting from the bottom to reach up to the damper lifter bar, and then lubricate the noisy parts with Teflon spray. On the vertical section at the bottom, on the metal parts, Svitol can be used moderately.

It often happens because, due to the significant weight of the instrument, if the support points change, especially in the vertical plane, noise distortions are created. You could also try moving it or determining if the weight is truly being discharged perfectly and uniformly onto the ground.

I checked and there was a little piece of plastic under the piano leg. Thanks for the support. Tomorrow I will call the technician and he will fix the pedal.
