I must admit I am not very up to date on the new arrangement. Anyway, both of Chopin's concertos are difficult. I prefer the second one (which is actually the first composed by the Author). They require knowledge of the technique of the studies. Their technique is complex, but the result is highly effective. I don't know. It remains to be seen how the studies were conducted. If they are of a good level, I recommend you try your hand at the second one. Happy studying

Thank you for the advice; in fact, it is too demanding in terms of technique, perhaps I will dedicate myself to it later.

For the exam, I will certainly perform a Mozart concerto.

Every Conservatory has structured the practical exam differently. I performed 6 Bach preludes and fugues, a Haydn sonata, a piece by Brahms, and one by Ravel. In your case, is a piano concerto with orchestra mandatory?
