If there is no MIDI data, no program can help. You should play it again, connecting it to the PC and using your keyboard as a MIDI controller, that is, using the tones you wanted to use previously. Unless it is truly possible to recover the MIDI file from the keyboard's sequencer (perhaps via a keyboard editor on PC, but I don't know if one exists or if it would be useful in this regard), the simplest way is another performance immediately with the right sounds

2) from the menus at the top (after File, Edit, etc.), click on "Midi" ---> "Midi Setup...";

3) inside the rectangular window that appears "Midi Setup", and precisely in the left part "Midi IN", open the "Device" drop-down menu, and choose the device referring to the external keyboard connected via USB (there should be "USB Speakers" or a similar name, removing the default setting "None");

4) click OK.

5) still on the "MIDI" menu, click on "Midi Thru"; the square "Midi Thru" window opens, click on "Intelligent" or anyway on one of the 4 options that are NOT "Disabled". Then close everything;

1) open any Finale document (File-->New);

2) at the top (after File, Edit, etc.), click on "Windows"--->"Instrument List";

3) In the rectangular window that appears "Instrument List", click - to activate - in the white square of column "R" to the left of [LINE no.], where you want to record;

4) a small black triangle with the vertex pointing to the right appears on the square;

5) close the window (there is no OK button) by clicking on the X in the top right corner;

6) still at the top (after File, Edit, etc.), click on "MIDI"--->"Hiperscribe";

7) then click on "Pulse Source" and ensure that "Playback and/or Click..." is activated;

8) after this step, click on the button with the red dot of the classic recording tape;

9) the recording begins. You can hear the metronome. The default metronome setting causes Finale to actually start recording after two measures of metronome. If you want to modify this parameter: "Hiperscribe"--->"Pulse Source"--->"Playback and/or Click..." ---> then click on the virtual button at the bottom left "Click and Count-in...". Make the modification in the "Count-in" drop-down window or in the square field on the right "Measures".

I set up the first phase and everything is okay, the MIDI sound (pressing a few keys here and there) arrives and can be heard. Naturally, as simone said, starting the pre-recorded backing track results in nothing being heard. Ok. Now that's a different matter.

phase 2: going to windows (window, for me), the thing most similar to 'instrument list' I found was inside SCORE MANAGER, where I can choose between FILE INFO and INSTRUMENT LIST. but clicking on the latter, I didn't find any reference to your instructions.

By 'strumenti' do you mean 'instrument' or 'tools'?

In my opinion, in the 2012 finale something is slightly different from what was described by Trade1, but the contents are good.

Are you talking about Logic or Finale? I understood that you would like to use better sounds that you have on your PC (which however must be Audio Units because I don't think Logic supports VSTs). Simply by loading this instrument within Logic, then starting from a channel, you need to launch this Audio Unit you have and then simply play! If you are referring to Finale, I think you need to click to the left of the instrument and load the instrument there as well, where there are usually instrument settings like for Finale, Garritan Orchestra (Aria Player).

Check if Simo has made a tutorial also for the installation of AUs; it is a simple procedure anyway
