Could you approximately tell me if there are any sonatas or compositions for piano and violin that have easy, medium, and difficult piano parts, and which ones they are?
Since I don't have much time at my disposal, I would need to know beforehand if something is feasible before studying half of it and then saying "no, it's too demanding"
It's not so much a matter of technical difficulty—of course there will be some—but rather that I see some that can be played after just a few readings, while others would need to be studied more thoroughly, almost like a piano sonata
I cannot recall a progressive difficulty indication for accompaniment pieces. It is certain that the sonatas for violin and piano..... actually for piano and violin by Beethoven are difficult. In reality, the accompanist must be a musician with a certain level of experience in their own right, so it is not the preparatory nature that dictates the choice of pieces. Violinists are very demanding, quite rightly, and expect good preparation from the pianist. Rhythmic precision, correct accents, correct tempos... etc.... So.... back to work!!!!
I imagine... 😐 it will mean that as soon as I have more time I will dedicate myself to it a lot; to start with, we intend to play very short and uncomplicated pieces just to see how it feels playing together; it would be more of a test for me in case, because I have never accompanied anyone... in fact, there is Beethoven's sonata for violin and piano "Spring" which is not overly complicated for the pianist; perhaps I haven't specified my "level" (I don't really allow myself to self-evaluate); I am working on repertoire and studies from the 5th and 6th year of the old system, to be clear.
