Hello, I wanted to ask for advice regarding the path of a piano tuner and then, who knows, with the right skills and knowledge, also a piano restorer.
Specifically, I would like to be able to start from theory, so I am asking you if there are any reference titles from which to start studying in depth.
I have tried looking for an academy or an academic course to learn; the only one I found in Italy is at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome. There are also AIARP seminars (which, in my opinion, are very short), but they seem to be for those who already have experience. I have been discouraged from undertaking this path, and while attending the conservatory in Modena, I find myself with my hands tied and cannot move from here for at least the next 4 years.
I have asked practically all of my acquaintances which shops, sellers, or restorers are in the Modena area, but it seems that no one is willing or has the time to teach/guide me.
Therefore, I am asking if you have any knowledge of the Modena area regarding someone who could help me pursue this path.
