I think I have understood the strategies for visibility on YouTube. Making a product and putting it online just like that would only make us visible to our 2,000 channel subscribers. Therefore, we need to be a little smarter and get help from those who already have a lot of popularity on YouTube; we must therefore lean on established singers. Videos uploaded by Vevo receive millions of views in just a few days. So how do we gain popularity by exploiting these giants? Simple... Like everyone else does, with a cover. By rearranging a cover. This could also be an interesting topic here in the forum: a sort of monthly competition on the rearrangement of certain tracks. Subsequently, the vocals would need to be recorded over the new arrangement, then mastering, professional video, and editing.

This only serves to grow our number of subscribers, or we could think about creating an entirely new YouTube account and starting this project from scratch. By leaning on authors, it won't be difficult to grow in popularity, and once popular, it will also be possible to produce something original.

What we need to discuss, provided there is interest, is the genre of music we want to aim for, at least to start with; then no one is forbidding us from taking other paths, nor what goals we set for ourselves. I am not against popularity, especially in a world like today's—in short, the web is the only place where it seems a bit of meritocracy has remained. If we don't throw ourselves into it and show ourselves off for a while to see what we can achieve, then what are we doing? Hi Lori. The idea was to create a mix. Everyone with their own style and create, precisely, a multi-style CD. Or to hold workshops with different styles, where the most voted piece would then be chosen to play, make the mix, and produce the master. Other ideas are always welcome.

I hope to be able to make a concrete and tangible proposal during the summer in response to the topic... we will update each other later.

You have already identified the necessary roles; I could contribute as a drummer (also with programming, since recording in a studio costs a lot...); as a composer at least for some ideas; as an arranger I don't think so, but maybe I can pitch a few ideas. Furthermore, I am good with MIDI.

If you want to do the recording, it's fine with me and I would then book myself to do the mix and mastering or alternatively one or the other. In the event that I were to handle the mastering, it would be commendable if whoever handles the mix sent me the stems from an analog chain (provided they have one available). I would avoid MIDI except in the exceptional case where a musician cannot be found for a particular instrument. My idea was to create a truly professional-grade product and print CDs complete with labels; for this reason, also to decide on assignments, I think it is appropriate that each of us writes down what we possess in terms of audio hardware and proficiency with various programs. What I mean is, if there is someone who steps up for the recording and has a violinist with a Stradivari playing the part, and they record him with two DPAs, a Prism ADC, Avalon 737 Preamp and Channel Strip, then as far as I'm concerned, the recording is done... ahahahahh. I was dreaming, obviously.
