Pino Daniele has died
Struck down by a heart attack during the night. He was 59 years old.
To me he was a character, even if he left us relatively young. RIP

Damn, too many artists who were pillars of Italian pop music are leaving us. First Mango, now Pino Daniele... RIP

I was listening to some Mango songs a few years ago, because of my mother; I started thinking about him and even now I think he wrote pieces that are still current and far from the cliché that persists even today,

... it is a painful thing, but it is the truth
- Yes, he/she is an important figure for music, for Italian history...
but sincerely, it doesn't affect me that much.
- Who's death would you have been sadder about?
- Lady Gaga...

Pino Daniele, the family reaches an agreement: there will be a second funeral in Naples at the Basilica of Santa Chiara

Thank goodness... At least this embrace between the city and its great son.

I don't know!!!,,,, I think that everyone, no matter who they are, should have the right to have the funeral they desire. Here, everything matters except for what the wishes of the deceased were... and I don't know if that is "less bad".

I say thank goodness because the bond between Pino Daniele and Naples is strong. This is undeniable. And everything that breaks this bond, I find to be a truly bad thing. Even if it occurs in protection of and respect for family law and what is granted by the law.
On the fact that everyone should have the funeral they desire, I do not agree. Or rather: I agree with many reservations.
For example: my funeral is something in which I should not meddle too much. And I think this applies both to the level of "gentle requests" and to legally approvable demands.
Example 1. I desire to have a solid gold coffin made for me, 20 mm thick, or to have the Monteverdi Choir singing at the funeral (unfortunately my family cannot afford it, and they would be the "villains" who do not respect my wishes)
Example 2. I could, during my life, have caused great harm to a person who is already deceased, and desire, due to some idea of mine, to be buried near them (it's a pity that those "villains," the family members of that person, do not agree)
Example 3. I might desire to be cremated and scattered to the wind. Unlike the two examples above, this is quite common. Furthermore, it would save my family all costs concerning cemetery expenses.
But even in this case, I believe that they are the ones to judge what is best... for them.
If when I die, the people who will be closest to me then (family-descendants?... perhaps. Very likely. But not necessarily them), if these people want a grave upon which to bring flowers and thoughts (for their own legitimate cult of the dead), I would want them to feel free – in respect of the law and in full possession of their mental faculties – to do what makes them feel best. Even if I would have desired to be cremated.
However, a person of clear fame and merit, like Pino Daniele, does not belong (bad word) only to his family. For this reason, I would consider it right, in respect of the feelings of that collective group of people who felt him as part of them and who, in this case, are reasonably and symbolically identified with the City of Naples, that this "correspondence of loving sentiments" not be frustrated and broken.
Not even if an unjust and obsolete principle provides for it.
That is, the principle (and the derived laws) whereby regarding a deceased person, as far as funerals and post-mortem matters are concerned, the wishes of blood relatives - even distant and very distant ones - are always and anyway prioritized over those of loved ones.

What can I say to you, Luca?
Aside from the discussion about what is impossible, the fact remains that I think those who stay have the obligation to satisfy those who leave, since the latter can no longer defend themselves. And so, bypassing the impossible things, I will focus only on example 3 and, regarding that, I think quite the exact opposite of you.
As for the fact that someone like Pino Daniele belongs to everyone, belongs to all... even on this, of course, I do not agree. I think that ultimately, we belong only to ourselves: at least that much!

Imbecility never ends. Now on FB, pages are being created where Pino Daniele is insulted. How much of an asshole is that man?

Obviously, there couldn't be a lack of in-depth material in the coming months for trash TV like "quarto grado" and the like.
The crisis advances and the overdoses of gossip increase

Fourth grade, as well as other leech-style programs, should really be abolished or at most broadcast at 3 in the morning, and the "Nettuno" courses (even if I saw that a dedicated site and channel exist) should be restored in prime time. Too many people speculate on the pain of others and they have annoyed me a bit.

There is also someone who shows a certain consistency, even if in my opinion it went a bit badly for them... oh well!
