It looks beautiful, but I have a feeling it doesn't dance! Do you really think Pleyel has been building pianos for more than 200 years and hadn't already thought about modifying the structure to improve the keyboard and the sound? And then that extremely short, segmented lever keyboard... Mmmmm. To me, it seems more like a trendy gimmick to sell and appear on TV than a high-quality professional instrument. Why would a wealthy person buy a 100,000 euro Steinway just to let it gather dust in the living room without ever opening it, and choose that instead? It's better because it's more fashionable as furniture!

In fact, they didn't talk about improving the sound, an initiative I would have found laudable, since we are talking about musical instruments!

Not a bad idea, however, to lower it, so that the listener is aided in seeing the pianist's hands.

For the rest, I don't care.... I prefer a Steinway for 10^5 euros!

Here the audio seems better to me and the sound is nothing special. A classical pianist wouldn't play in concert with that piano even for a million dollars!

My judgment was only on the aesthetics. I do not allow myself to pass judgment on the many professionals who have worked on it.

In the film Prometheus, there is a Fazioli that is quite similar to this Pleyel (though I believe Fazioli made it first) right inside the spaceship.
