i wanted to ask for your opinion... what do you think...
on my yamaha u3h this happens to me ...(it's nothing serious... more of a curiosity than anything else)
when I play a beautiful two-handed chord in the middle octave pianissimo without the sustain pedal, everything is perfect; when I play it pressing the sustain pedal first, I hear a sort of metallic click (..I don't know if it could be the springs, the sustain pedal bar which has lately started to creak very slightly, or something else).
Ah excuse me... one further specification to help you understand...
This click only happens the first time I play the chord... if I play it again while holding the pedal down, it doesn't happen anymore.
i would be very grateful if you could give me your opinion.
clicks and creaks from physiological wear, and seasonal situations therefore: the lever system, felts, and skins must be checked first without mechanics, then with mechanics to listen for the point of the click
Hi.. No, I had a different problem; I had the action that wasn't resting properly on the 3 pins that support it. Anyway, I think it's quite normal to feel a bit of the resonance from the 'hammering' of the keys on the pedal.
