Hi, I wanted to know how to put the symbol "quarter note = dotted quarter note" above a time signature change (like from 4/4 to 6/8) in Sibelius and make it execute.

thnx

I'm not an expert, but Create --> Text --> Other System Text --> Metric Modulation is the right way. Once you have selected the menu item, choose the right point on the score and select it, an editable box will "open" for you... then write q=q.

it's right how you do it and how Faria says (although it seems to me that first you select the measure and then "create etc")

it seems like a text cursor appears, but if you right-click instead of typing, the various modulation combinations come out

'iao (well .... 'm I playing jazz ?? )

Done. But it doesn't sound to me. I searched the net and it says you have to "educate" the program so that it executes it for you.

Thanks Abate and thanks Ale (come forward).

this is news to me .... it has never given me problems.

if you want, send me the Sibelius file (even just the measures with the modulation) and I will try it on mine.

bye
