Hello everyone, I find the topics on this forum interesting and exhaustive. I am trying to purchase a used upright piano for my children who have been studying on my digital piano for a year now. I found some thirty-year-old refurbished Yamaha U3s in shops for around 3500 euros, but actually, my search was leaning towards Schimmel or Petrof purchased from private individuals. I would like some tips to understand if the instrument, when viewed from a private seller, is not damaged. For example, how can I check the integrity of the cast-iron frame? And the wooden counterpart? Do I need to check all the keys using the pedals? Thanks in advance
