Hello everyone, recently I discovered Rachmaninov's nocturnes (you read that correctly!) it is thought they were composed when young Sergei was only 14 years old!
Have you ever heard of them?
I recommend listening to this one, it is my favorite interpretation of my favorite nocturne at the moment

Thank you so much for introducing me to these works of art. In all sincerity, I had never heard them before! You can tell they were composed in youth; they are not as full of experience as compositions from adulthood, but they are nonetheless up to the standard of Rachmaninoff's enormous opus, which will always remain one of my favorite composers in an absolutely indisputable way!

@Lowseling For solo piano, besides sonatas no. 1 and 2, I also particularly like the etudes tableaux no. 1, 4, 5, 6 of Op. 39 and the preludes no: 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9 of Op. 23 and the preludes no: 1, 4, 5, 10 of Op. 32. Then also no. 2 Op. 3 and the great no. 4 Op. 16. Then well, for piano and orchestra I struggle to find anything by Sergei that I don't like
