Hello everyone,
Today I come here to ask you for some advice. Basically, themes often come to mind that I might like to develop in a little while, as soon as I feel ready to tackle everything with more awareness; I have recently started with modulations, so I would like to wait until I have broader knowledge (I could also proceed by trial and error, but waiting doesn't hurt anyone).
Now, normally I walk around with a sheet of staff paper folded in my jacket pocket and a pen, so if something comes to mind I am always ready to jot it down, but sometimes I happen to forget this "state-of-the-art equipment" and if a theme comes to mind, maybe after a while I forget it because I am busy with something else.
By any chance, could you give me some advice on how to memorize a theme so that I can then transcribe it on paper?
