hi everyone,
a few days ago I purchased the jazzmaster cookbook by J. Grantham
and I must say that the numerous positive feedbacks found around the web and also in this forum
are true; as a novice in the subject, it seems to me to be a very pedagogically effective text.
what I would like to know, if any of you has already had hands-on experience with it, is this:
the author of the text has produced 12 optional instructional CDs that are strictly linked to the contents of his book.
now, these CDs are not included in the usual commercial channels like the book; to purchase them, one must order them directly from the author (or whoever is responsible), by connecting to a website listed on the pages of the book.
i would be interested in purchasing them but considering the cost ($150 + shipping costs, from the USA), before taking action I would first like to get some info from anyone who might have already purchased them.
if there is anyone among the forum users who knows them closely, could you tell me what they are about and if they are worth it (just as the book was)?
i have quite a few Aebersold books + texts; and I would be disappointed if Grantham's CDs turned out to be something similar in some way
thanks everyone and happy music
