My dear friends,
This morning, after an illness discovered too late, Roberto Diem Tigani passed away prematurely. This sudden news has wounded us painfully. He was a great artist, a friend, a great man. His efforts to make Beethoven's sketches accessible are known to all, thanks to IneditaCD. Unfortunately, what is not known to all is the great humanity of his person. I am not using rhetoric, I am not capable of it. I only know that since 4:30 this morning, I am much poorer and much more alone. And without him, Beethoven research and the website will no longer be the same.
