Yes, it is the principle of heterophony. If you are interested, Ivan Fedele also makes abundant use of it.

Rocco De Cia was a very recent discovery of mine and, in reality, it was my son who pointed him out to me because as luck would have it, I am his music teacher.

Gerardo reminds us of Ivan Fedele and, as you will have read from his curriculum, De Cia actually perfected his composition studies with him.

He is a composer from Bologna and the city has already honored him greatly, but his name is now known internationally and I am sure we will hear more and more about him.
