International Music Campus
The Rosso di Sera Artistic Consortium organizes, every summer, a MUSIC CAMP with the collaboration of highly prestigious teachers. The courses take place in the Teatro Comunale and the Sala Polivalente in Torrita di Siena, a medieval town in the province of Siena. The serene atmosphere of the location, the good cuisine, and the character of the inhabitants favor concentration in study, human relationships, mutual exchange, and social and artistic enrichment. The lessons are aimed at students, professionals, or amateurs of any age who wish to deepen their knowledge of repertoire and musical technique. The admission exam, which will take place at the beginning of the course, will consist of a short audition during which students will be invited to play a composition of their choice. One can participate in the course as an official student or as an auditor. Those who are not selected as official students may decide to participate anyway as auditors. The training path also includes the creation of professional opportunities. Students deemed worthy may be invited to participate in the concerts of the Rosso di Sera Festival, MusicaSiena, Ars Citarae Novae in Rome and recommended to other concert institutions.
THE COURSES
Franco Mezzena, violin
ADMISSIONS: July 13, 4:00 PM - Teatro Comunale
Course program: interpretation of the violin repertoire. Three individual lessons. Solo violin repertoire.
Michael Lewin - Edoardo Catemario, guitar
ADMISSIONS: July 13, 11:00 AM - Teatro Comunale
Course program: interpretation of the guitar repertoire. Four individual lessons, two by each teacher. Solo and chamber repertoire.
Gabriella Costa Maluberti, singing
ADMISSIONS: July 27, 11:00 AM - Teatro Comunale
Course program: vocal technique and interpretation of both operatic music and various other genres. Three individual lessons. Repertoire: Opera, operetta, gospel.
Regulations
PARTICIPATION
Students may participate as Official Students or as Auditors. Attendance is permitted as Official Students for candidates chosen during the preliminary audition, scheduled for the first day of each course. They must have all the parts of the pieces they intend to play and a music stand. The number of Official participants is limited for each course!
The candidates who are not chosen as official students may still participate in the lessons as Auditors. All students will be issued a card that entitles them to free admission to the Rosso di Sera Festival concerts, subject to seat availability in the hall!
REGISTRATION
The registration form must be cut out, completed, and sent to: International Campus secretariat of Torrita di Siena by July 12, 2014, accompanied by the receipt of the non-refundable registration fee, which is 100 for Official Students and 40 for Auditors!
The registration fee, which is a single fee even in the case of attending multiple courses, may be paid via postal order in Euro or by bank transfer, net of commissions, to the Associazione Teatro giovani di Torrita (Banca Di Credito Cooperativo Di Montepulciano, IBAN IT91 W086 7072 0600 0000 0200 695), on which the participant's name, place and date of birth, and the chosen course must be mandatorily indicated. In case of course cancellation, the Campus will only refund the registration fee.
ATTENDANCE FEES
Attendance fees are listed in the table. They must be paid at the beginning of the Course in Euro. Attendance fees are neither divisible nor refundable.
CERTIFICATES OF ATTENDANCE
Certificates of attendance will be issued to all Official students who have attended the Course in its entirety.
