Rosso di Sera 2015 - Music and more
SetteNoteInsieme and Compagnia Teatro Giovani Torrita, with the support of Fondazione Torrita Cultura and under the patronage of the Municipality of Torrita di Siena and the Municipality of Asciano, organize "Rosso di Sera 2015 - Music and more in Valdichiana".
Saturday, July 11, 2015, will mark the opening of the third edition of the festival with the International Classical Music Campus, which will feature two world-class masters: Michael Lewin, department director at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and Edoardo Catemario, DECCA artist and internationally renowned musician as well as artistic director of the festival, in an intense week of masterclasses aimed at young masters from all over Europe. The venue for the masterclass is the Teatro degli Oscuri in Torrita di Siena.
This year's calendar is rich with events: there will be numerous concerts featuring some of the best selections from the new European musical generation and Edoardo Catemario in his annual Tuscan appointment.
The concerts:
Sunday, July 12, 2015, at 6:00 PM at the Museo Civico Archeologico e d'Arte Sacra - Palazzo Corboli in Asciano (Corso Matteotti, 122 - Asciano). Guitarists James Swarbrick and Daniele Aiello will perform with a captivating and engaging program featuring music by Froberger, Britten, Barrios Mangoré, Tansman, and Legnani.
After the concert, a real treat for lovers of Italian culture and flavors. For those who wish, a guided tour of the museum is available with "Aperitivo in Rosso", tastings of wines and local delicacies. Cost: €5.00
Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at 6:00 PM at the Chiesa del Triano in Montefollonico (Via del Triano, 2 - Montefollonico), followed by a concert by the best students of the Music Campus.
Thursday, July 16, 2015, at 9:00 PM at the Teatro degli Oscuri in Torrita di Siena (Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, 10), Edoardo Catemario will perform a solo recital titled "Espana" with music by Tarrega, De Falla, Albeniz, Sanz, and Turina. The concert will take place. Ticket cost: €15
Friday, July 17, 2015, at the Teatro degli Oscuri starting at 9:00 PM, a grand closing evening of the festival. Free entry.
