i don't know if it has been noticed from my recent posts... but I have started studying jazz harmony (on my own) and I am really enjoying it!!! in tiny little steps, my very meager and mediocre jazz is evolving... at least I think so! ;-D
not being exactly a newcomer but having a certain awareness of the study and the effort required for the sake of art, I know well that one does not become a jazz musician by reading a couple of books.
i purchased those 2-3 cult texts as a theoretical reference point (the various Mark Levine and Jim Grantham, to be specific) and, in more than one page, this so-called text (post title) has been repeatedly mentioned.
do you know it? what do you think? what is it about?
there is very little theoretical writing, just the first few pages; but they are so dense with content (in English) that, to understand something, I translated it into Italian, or at least I tried! I am not totally sure about how much was translated.
so, I am sharing my translation file in this post... in case it could be useful to someone else and if, above all, someone more far-sighted than me in the Anglo-Saxon language would/could take a look at the translation and eventually correct my very likely blunders so as to make such a translation completely usable.
