... because after reading it, I hope I didn't understand correctly?

Because you are a good man. A man of goodwill. A man with a certain level of culture and, above all, you are not a reactionary in a world that is constantly becoming more so due to ignorance and fear.

...and let's just say I always delude myself thinking that someone might even learn from history; at this rate, we will reintroduce crimes of passion. It would have been nice to see some women on the jury

I hope it's not exactly as it seems.. I believe there are manipulations in the news? At least let me believe this!!

Anyway, let's not be surprised... ours is a very primitive society... it hides under a technological crust but... it is the era of tattoos and icons...

Well, there are cultures based on iconography. I'm sorry, but I don't find it a negative quality ... or I haven't understood.

No ..no..Frank...I was talking about our society in general...where the growing need to get tattooed (in a culture such as ours that does not belong to this type of tradition) creates the premise for reflection..the tattoo, in my opinion (from a sociological point of view), is giving oneself an identity..a defining of oneself, making oneself visible as a unique and unrepeatable being...in this sense, I see it (in our case) belonging to a society that is somewhat lacking in identity and direction..as for icons, however, the discussion had a broader reason..in a technological era like ours, one presses a letter to send an email, one presses the phone symbol to make a call etc..it was said in function of the contrast (symbols... primitive, archaic, historicized in parallel with futurism, novelty, progress.)

Yes, without a doubt, compared to cultures where tattooing has completely different reasons.
