It seems to me that it is a simple escapement piano (without repetition lever), a mechanism also called "pin" action.

It is evident that it is less fast and behaves a bit like an upright piano. It looks like the hammer rail has been replaced... which seems too large and heavy for that type of instrument to me. The styli also seem very robust to me, but you can see they are original. This is all I can see. It is not a matter of "pros and cons"... it is a matter of accepting that we are facing a historical piano, which has its own value and performance.
