In 2015, I traded in my glorious first-series petrol Micra to DENICAR for a godforsaken Alfa Romeo, paid for with hard work. It is something scandalous. This new Alfa Romeo (MITO 1.3 Diesel) has had all kinds of breakdowns in 60,000 km despite the servicing. As soon as it was bought, the car pulled to the right. As soon as the warranty expired, the EGR valve broke. Now there is a failure in the gearbox, clutch, and bearings. Not to mention the car being stationary for weeks, causing inconvenience and damage to my business activities. I am truly bitter. As far as I am concerned, never again Alfa Romeo cars. A total disgrace.
Hi Foster, I have never owned an Alfa Romeo car but I can assure you that even the best car manufacturers sometimes get some engines wrong... unfortunately a good engine is almost like a lottery nowadays, also because components are often built with a calculated "expiration date" already in mind... You are not the only one!
The engine, according to them, defies the centuries.
Too bad that in my case, the rest is poorly made.
And let's not minimize it. I am a consumer. The product I bought is crap, so I complain. When you get stuck with 2000 euros to pay out of warranty for a new machine, it annoys you, doesn't it?
