Hi everyone, I bought this piano for ā¬350, with some keys that are a bit slow on the return (which I fixed by tightening the coil springs a little). Technically I know nothing about pianos, and I noticed some cracks along the soundboard rib... it seems to hold the tuning... Should I be worried?
I absolutely know nothing about the validity of this Leipzig piano

The cracks do not seem to have compromised the FRAME (not the soundboard). Pulling the springs solves nothing... on the contrary, it ruins the springs. The slow return of the keys depends on the humidity that has swollen the pin bushings. All the mechanical pins must be checked and potentially replaced

thank you very much for the clarification, I noticed recently that the piano is tuned a semitone below the standard.. probably because of the frame.. anyway, even when hitting the wrong keys, they function like new after the spring tensioning

Yes, because they have more strength, but this system wears them out. The piano must not be a semitone low! It doesn't depend on the frame; instead, one must check the stability of the tuning pins. It could also simply be because it hasn't been tuned for a long time. The work must be carried out with caution to avoid breaking strings. This can still happen, but it must be brought back to 440 anyway, stabilizing it with multiple tunings.
