Hello everyone, I am new to this forum so let me introduce myself: I am Giovanni, and I thank anyone who will reply to me in advance. For some time now, I have been considering the idea of moving to a grand piano by selling my 1960s Yamaha upright U1. Just in these past few days, I found a private buyer willing to take it in trade (plus an additional payment of 1500 euros) in exchange for his Schoulze Pollman baby grand made in Bolzano. Does anyone here have experience with this brand? I should mention that the person selling it to me is not a professional in the sector and that I have yet to see the instrument in person; however, from the photos and the sound, it seems to be in good condition. What seems strange to me is that he tells me he cannot find the serial number because it should be under the keyboard. Does this ring a bell to anyone? Waiting for your comments, I thank everyone for participating. Cordially

Regarding the brand, there is nothing to say, but to evaluate a piano one must see it, hear it, and examine its condition. The brand and external photos are not enough.

Anyway, from what can be seen, it seems like a well-maintained instrument. The action could be efficient or stiff... the tuning stability could be good or poor, the hammers could still be good or inefficient... etc...

It is certain that the opinion of a trusted technician could clarify many things for you.

Thank you for the answer. I managed to get the serial number (43057). Could you tell me which production year it corresponds to? Thank you

I'm sorry, I don't have the updated serial numbers for this brand. It was originally built in Bolzano.
