I think that from 2014 I will no longer use SIAE for deposits; they have raised the annual fee from about 91 euros to 151, quite a blow, all without notifying members obviously, because no communication arrived at home except directly the invoice, and on the website I haven't (at least I haven't seen any communication regarding this) seen any press release specifying it.

Anyway, I received a response from the "corresponding" SIAE company in Spain: once cancelled from SIAE, you only pay 15 euros and that's it, there is no annual fee to pay, and the services seem more numerous to me as well.

I am "moved"

Probably by the legislator, the fair tribute to the composer's work is seen as a burden...

Ā

More than anything, perhaps they want to encourage initiatives that are not astronomical in terms of spectator numbers; we are talking about an audience of at most 200 people.

I know this (also) seems absurd, but in general I don't know how economically healthy SIAE is... I don't know if this increase is needed to buffer some "problems" within the contingent... the bulk should come from royalties... well...
