I am trying to solve the problem with the neighbors....the project to achieve effective soundproofing has been put into motion, at least for now...
I have a first-model silent Fürsten G120 N&D..as an acoustic it has a Langer 80 action (so says the tuner) and I don't mind it (and I've grown fond of it)...but the silent part is obscene...it always has been.
it doesn't support the repetitions; often, depending on the passages, it does not produce all the sounds; the use of the pedal is a struggle because it doesn't respond properly....it's impossible to perform even simple pieces with enjoyment.
I only use it to get an initial reading of the pieces, but as soon as I get to the point of performing them, I have to remove the silent system and switch to acoustic..
since it was one of the first ones released, I always thought it was the system itself that wasn't working...now I have my doubts.
Is it possible to improve it by taking it to a technician, perhaps by updating the circuit boards? Would it be possible to bring it up to the level of the new silent systems (if they are better)...? excuse me for these perhaps absurd questions, but I need to catch up and I am veeeery ignorant regarding electronics....
the alternative would be purchasing a digital piano....but I was hoping not to end up spending that much and having to fill the house with PFs (I have a quarter grand besides the upright)...
